St. Hilda’s Secondary School in Liverpool has taken a pioneering step to ensure the safety and well-being of its students by implementing an anaphylaxis kit provided by Kitt Medical, as National Allergy Awareness Week commences from the 22nd of April to the 27th. The school situated in south Liverpool is considered as one of the first schools in the city to adopt the emergency kit. The anaphylaxis kit is equipped with emergency adrenaline pens, online CPD-accredited training, and incident reporting mechanisms to provide rapid and effective responses to allergy-related emergencies for students, visitors, and staff.
The integration of Kitt Medical’s anaphylaxis kit at St. Hilda’s Primary School has already proven to be impactful in safeguarding students. Assistant Head Teacher, Ben Norton, says, “Students can feel safe and secure knowing that we have this provision in school.” As per Matt Ashton, Director of Public Health at Liverpool City Council, “it’s fantastic to see this pioneering approach to allergy awareness happening in Liverpool. Not only do these specialised kits offer a fantastic resource for teachers, but they are really important as an awareness-raising tool for our young people, giving more understanding of what to look out for when it comes to allergic reactions.”
