Legendary band Creed reunites after a hiatus of 12 years to perform at the Summer of 99′ cruise. The band comprises of Scott Stapp, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips, Mark Tremonti, and touring guitarist Eric Friedman. They took the stage, opening with their 1999 hit track ‘Are You Ready?’ pleasantly surprising the audience. Creed then went on to perform the audience’s favorite tracks, including ‘Torn,’ ‘My Own Prison,’ ‘Weathered,’ and ‘Faceless Man.’ The band ended their set with their most popular hits, ‘With Arms Wide Open’ and ‘Higher.’
In honor of Tremonti’s 50th birthday, Stapp led the crowd to sing a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday.’ Creed’s encore performance included ‘One Last Breath’ and ‘My Sacrifice.’ The band’s lineup drew immense attention from thousands of fans who were thrilled to see them perform.
The “Summer of 99” cruise will last for four days, starting from Miami, Florida, and visiting Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Miami on April 22nd. Apart from Creed, other notable bands like 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, and Fuel are also set to perform on the ship.
Creed’s last performance was in December 2012 during their tour in support of their 2009 LP ‘Full Circle.’ After splitting in 2004, the band had their first reunion in 2009 during the tour. The band is set to kick off a North American reunion tour later this summer, which will take them to 40 cities across the continent. Fans have shown their excitement and have already bought tickets to the shows. Stapp also mentioned in an interview that he has “hope” for new music from the band.
