Ubisoft is offering a new test session for XDefiant this coming weekend. Unlike previous tests that occurred throughout 2023, this upcoming test is open to everyone and can be downloaded from Ubisoft Connect, the PlayStation Store, or the Microsoft Store; there is no code required. There will be some previous content from the previous year’s tests and new rewards available to the players. The MP5 Shamrock Weapon Skin and M9 Ember Weapon Skin will be rewards for playing in the test and playing in a party. If a player reaches level 18, they’ll receive three weapon XP boosters at launch. The test will run from April 19-21, and the servers will be stress tested to make sure they’re ready for the game’s launch later this year.
Originally expected for a 2023 launch, XDefiant encountered a long and arduous journey to its eventual launch. It was then indefinitely delayed before finally set to launch later this year. Despite that bump, tests from 2023 had already garnered the game a great deal of positive attention and hype, particularly within the Call of Duty community. Interestingly, the game’s executive producer, Mark Rubin, confirmed that the delays were not an attempt to make the game more like Call of Duty.
