Kentrell Gaulden, known as YoungBoy NBA, has been arrested on multiple charges in Utah, including pattern of unlawful activity, identity fraud, forgery, procurement of drugs, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a restricted person’s dangerous weapon, according to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office records. No bail has been set as of yet. Gaulden has been under house arrest in Utah for several years, waiting for trial for unrelated charges of possessing two weapons as a convicted felon.

In Louisiana, in 2020, YoungBoy NBA was detained together with a group of men and indicted in March 2021 by a grand jury. Gaulden was seen not guilty in 2022 in a separate California case on a federal gun possession charge.

Gaulden was arrested in LA last March, and despite cooperating with them at first, he eventually led the police on a high-speed chase in his Mercedes Maybach. When Gaulden was apprehended, he was accompanied by an FNX .45 caliber pistol, ammunition, cash, and jewelry.

Gaulden’s attorneys contended that the rapper tried to evade the police as a panic reaction, unaware that there was a federal warrant issued for his detention. They also claimed that Gaulden was innocent about the gun inside his car and that prosecutors were unable to find his fingerprints on it. Last year, the rapper released his sixth album, “Don’t Try This At Home.
