Twitter has blocked users from searching for the phrase “Taylor Swift leak” ahead of the release of ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ Fans had been speculating that clips of the alleged tracks from the album had leaked through a Google drive. However, Swifties came to her defence by shaming anyone actively seeking out leaks and sharing them, flooding the mentions of the phrase with memes and jokes. At the beginning of this year, Twitter temporarily blocked Swift’s name from being searched after explicit, fake, AI-generated images of the singer went viral.

Swift collaborated with Florence + The Machine on ‘Florida!!!’ and Post Malone on ‘Fortnight’ for the album. Other song titles on the record include ‘My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys’, ‘Down Bad’, ‘But Daddy I Love Him’, ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ and ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’. It will feature collaborations with Florence + The Machine and Post Malone.

This is not the first time one of Swift’s albums has been leaked; in 2014, her fifth studio album ‘1989’ was leaked three days prior to its set release date on October 27, 2014, despite the singer’s attempts to keep it under wraps. Some fans believe that the leaked songs may be fakes created with the use of artificial intelligence, but this has not been confirmed.

Girl In Red recently opened up about the paintings that Swift gifted her following the release of her debut album, describing it as “a very cute little thing.” ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is set for release on April 19 and is the follow-up to 2022’s Grammy-winning ‘Midnights.
