According to a report by Korea JoongAng Daily, Soojin, former member of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, will be making her comeback this May with new solo music. Soojin’s label BRD Entertainment commented that her new release will exhibit a different side of the singer while maintaining her unique allure. Soojin’s official account has reposted an article by news outlet DongA, confirming that she will be putting out new music this May.

The upcoming release by Soojin is set to arrive six months after her solo debut, the mini-album ‘AGASSY.’ The mini-album, accompanied by a single of the same name, was released in November 2023. Prior to her solo debut, Soojin was known as a member of the K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE from 2018 to 2021. Her last project with the group was their fourth mini-album ‘I Burn,’ which featured the single ‘Hwa.’

In other news, Jennifer Lopez recently enlisted (G)I-DLE for a remix of her song ‘This Time Around.’ The original version of the track appeared on her latest studio album ‘This Is Me… Now.’ In the meantime, Zico and BLACKPINK member Jennie have teased their upcoming collaboration, titled ‘Spot!’ The track will be released next week, and teaser photos and videos are expected to be released leading up to its release.

Meanwhile, Netflix has revealed the cast of their latest K-drama series ‘Cashero,’ starring 2 PM singer Junho. The show will also feature Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byong-chul, and Kim Hyang-gi
