Bridges for Music gear up for first ever Ibiza cycle challenge at IMS

Bridges for Music, a non-profit organization, has announced that it will hold its first-ever charity cycling event on the Spanish island of Ibiza next week to raise money for under-resourced communities. The event, scheduled to take place on April 26 over a 107-kilometre journey around the Ibizan landscape, is being organized in partnership with Ibiza’s global thought leadership platform, IMS, which was founded by DJ Pete Tong and AlphaTheta, the parent company of Pioneer DJ equipment.

The initial charity cycling event is open to cyclists of all abilities and is expected to raise funds to support music education and opportunities for communities mostly located in South Africa. Each participant in the event will launch a fundraising page to support their journey. After completing the 107km charity cycle, the participants will have the opportunity to attend IMS and the Dalt Vila closing party events.

Bridges for Music will use the proceeds raised from the charity cycling event to provide music education resources and opportunities to vulnerable communities in South Africa. The organization recognizes that music can be a powerful catalyst for change, and it aims to help people access it, regardless of their backgrounds. This is the latest effort from Bridges for Music to enhance the quality of life for people by creating positive change through music and culture.

This event supports Bridges for Music’s mission to advance the power of music for social development by assembling two otherwise disparate communities, namely the global electronic music scene and vulnerable communities in under-resourced regions worldwide. This will create an opportunity for people to help each other and redress some of the social imbalances in the world through music
