Taylor Swift has set a trail of clues for her fans to solve in order to uncover a secret message on Apple Music, as part of the release week of her latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Apple has confirmed that one word will be hidden in Swift’s lyrics on the streaming service each day. Found somewhere across the playlists she recently released, the words are connected to the five stages of heartbreak – denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
The full message will be unveiled on April 18, just before Swift releases the album on the 19th. Taylor Nation, Swift’s team, released an Instagram Story revealing the first word on April 13th. They hinted that it could be found within the lyrics of ‘Glitch’, which was in the ‘I Love You, It’s Ruining My Life’ playlist. Fans solved the puzzle, revealing the word ‘hereby’, which was hidden in the text as ‘H E Y B E R’. The following day, Swifties uncovered the second word, which was hidden in the lyrics of ‘Peace’, via the word ‘conduct’.
‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is the artist’s 11th studio album, following her record ‘Midnights’ released in 2022, and her re-recordings of ‘Speak Now’ and ‘1989’. Meanwhile, rumours have been circulating that Swift may appear in the upcoming Marvel film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, as superhero Dazzler. However, director Shawn Levy neither confirmed nor denied the rumours, saying only, “That is hardly confirmed nor denied in this interview.” Swift fans will have to wait and see whether this speculation has any basis in reality
