Billie Eilish gave fans a sneak peek of her new song ‘Lunch’ during a surprise set at Coachella over the weekend. Eilish used her Do LaB stage performance to tease several songs from her upcoming album, ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft,’ which is due to release on May 17th. The three tracks previewed were called ‘L’Amour De Ma Vie’, ‘Chihiro’ and ‘Lunch.’
One set attendee shared the lyrics to ‘Lunch’ online after the performance. The suggestive language in the chorus has prompted some fans to refer to it as a “gay Billie song” on social media. However, the versions played at the festival could have been remixes rather than final versions of the songs. Eilish had previously stated she will not be pre-releasing any singles from the album.
The set came soon after Lana Del Rey invited Eilish onto the Coachella stage during her performance of ‘Ocean Eyes’ and ‘Video Games.’ Afterward, Del Rey complimented the new wave singer, describing Eilish as “the voice of your generation.”
For now, fans will have to wait another month to hear Eilish’s full album when it is released in May
