LE SSERAFIM, a K-pop girl group, made their first-ever appearance at Coachella 2024 on day two, performing on the Sahara tent. During their set, they unveiled a brand-new track called ‘Hot And Fun’, which includes a half-tempo dance break. According to Source Music, the song is set for release on streaming platforms on April 15 at 6pm KST. The chorus of the track goes, “I like to dance when I party / I like to kiss everybody”. It follows previous hits such as ‘FEARLESS’, ‘ANTIFRAGILE’ and ‘The Great Mermaid’.
LE SSERAFIM were accompanied by Nile Rodgers when they performed ‘Unforgiven’. They later performed an English version of their track ‘Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife’. Other K-pop acts like boyband ATEEZ and rock band The Rose also performed at this year’s Coachella, following the success of BLACKPINK in 2019 and 2023 as festival headliners.
In other Coachella news, fans were disappointed with Grimes’ DJ set at the festival, referring to it as the worst in Coachella’s history due to technical problems. Sublime, fronted by the late Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob, performed for Bradley and included ‘Romeo’ in their set for the first time in 25 years. Meanwhile, British quintet The Last Dinner Party earned praise for their debut festival set in their signature Victorian frocks. Finally, Vampire Weekend performed a surprise country medley at the festival with the help of Paris Hilton and Abraham Lincoln.
