During a recent episode of Saturday Night Live, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt paid tribute to their experiences working on the films Barbie and Oppenheimer by performing a duet of Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’. Gosling hosted the show and reflected on the difficulty of moving past such a huge phenomenon, suggesting that the music of Taylor Swift was the only thing that could help, before launching into the song with Blunt. The performance included choreographed backing dancers and scenery referencing both films.
The duo starred in both Oppenheimer and Barbie and also co-star in the new action comedy, The Fall Guy. Gosling made headlines last month when, along with Mark Ronson and Slash, he premiered his song ‘I’m Just Ken’ at the Oscars. Ronson has spoken about the impact that the song has had, including inspiring young boys who have had their heart broken.
Blunt has also been in the news discussing her Oppenheimer co-star Cillian Murphy, who apparently had to have his head “glued shut” after being injured with a pillow she had given him. Oppenheimer swept the awards at this year’s BAFTAs and Oscars, taking home seven prizes in total, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.
