Lana Del Rey brings out Billie Eilish for ‘Ocean Eyes’ and ‘Video Games’ at Coachella

Billie Eilish joined Lana Del Rey on stage at Coachella 2024 for a special guest performance. The pair performed two songs together, starting with a duet of Eilish’s ‘Ocean Eyes’, before launching into Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’. Del Rey praised Eilish, saying she was “the voice of your generation”, and noted how grateful she was that Eilish was standing next to her, singing Del Rey’s favorite song of Eilish’s.

Eilish’s response was to point to Del Rey and proclaim that she was “the reason for half of you bitches’ existence, including mine.” This memorable collaboration left the young crowd, and fans watching from around the world, buzzing with excitement.

Prior to bringing out Eilish, Del Rey also invited Jon Batiste to perform ‘Candy Necklace’ and Jack Antonoff to play piano for ‘Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have – But I Have It’. Del Rey arrived early at the festival, riding a motorbike onto the stage after being cut short at Glastonbury 2023 due to curfew restrictions.

Del Rey’s set closed out the first day of the festival, which featured a variety of musical acts, including Sabrina Carpenter, Deftones, Suki Waterhouse, and Justice. Shakira also made a surprise appearance during Bizarrap’s set, announcing a new world tour. Fans can stay up to date with the latest news and updates from Coachella 2024 via NME’s live blog
