The Great Escape Festival 2024 has added 150 new acts to its lineup, including Lip Critic, Kenya Grace, and HighSchool. The annual festival will take place in Brighton from May 15-18 and has been incrementally adding new artists to the bill throughout the year. Among the latest additions to the roster are Snayx, O., Orchards, The Buoys, HiTech, Cykada, Swimming Paul, and Modern Biology.

In March, a slew of acts were announced, including Kneecap, Lauren Mayberry, Wunderhorse, Lambrini Girls (formerly known as Slaves), Bradley Simpson, Been Stellar, Fred Roberts, Love Fame Tragedy, and Milk. Over 450 rising artists are set to perform at the festival across various venues throughout the city, many of which are conveniently within walking distance from each other. Single-day, two-day, and weekend passes are available for purchase.

It’s masochistic, but I like feeling completely emptied at the end of a night – that feeling where you’re constantly trying to push yourself to be more entertaining and more captivating.”

Last year, NME named artists including Bellah, Big Wett, Dolores Forever, Mae Stephens, and Sam Akpro among the best new acts at The Great Escape 2023, while Picture Parlour’s set at The Great Escape was described by NME as being full of “gasp-inducing rock’n’roll thrills”. The Pretenders also kicked off their UK club tour at the festival, where they introduced their new material
