Gamers looking for more Fallout 4 content are in luck as Bethesda has announced a new free update to follow their proposed, missed, and now confirmed April 2024 release date for a next-gen update. Along with new quests, Echoes of the Past, players will receive new creation club items, removed items will return, and a makeshift weapon pack including deadly items such as a nail gun and a piggy bank. Meanwhile, on April 25, players of Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will be able to download a free next-gen update with many improvements, including native console applications and increased resolutions.
Fallout 4 players of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also get a free update that will improve stability and fix bugs. Gamers on PC will get wider and ultra-wider screen support, and changes to The Creation Kit, along with multiple quest updates. Fallout 4 fans will be able to enjoy new updates on everything, including the Steam Deck.
The announcement coincides with the Amazon Prime Video launch of Fallout. NME gave Fallout four stars, noting that “Unlike fellow post-apocalyptic shows The Last Of Us and The Walking Dead, Fallout is a dark comedy that finds laughter in ludicrously terrible situations.”
