No Doubt will soon be reuniting for their first live performance since 2015 at the Coachella festival this weekend. Frontwoman Gwen Stefani and the rest of the band will perform at 9:25 pm on the main stage in California, following sets by Blur and Tyler, The Creator. They are also scheduled to return for the event’s second weekend, although no further dates have yet been confirmed.
In a cover interview with Nylon, Stefani mentioned that she was “open to anything,” but added that at the moment there were “no concrete plans for touring or new music”. She commented that, “Well, I don’t have a crystal ball… most things have surprised me in life. One of the things I’ve learned is to be present in the moment and try to absorb what’s happening around me instead of looking ahead.”
Stefani also spoke about the band’s live comeback, which she said had been “a long time coming,” and about how having two children had affected their later years. “There was nothing left in me,” she said. “I had no ideas. I had so much insecurity. I felt like – help!”
No Doubt’s latest album, ‘Push And Shove’, was released in 2012, their first full-length release since 2001’s ‘Rock Steady’. The group has shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their rehearsals for Coachella 2024 in some recent footage. Although there is no current concrete plan for touring or new music, their performance at the festival is expected to be an excellent return to the stage after a long break
