Pop sensation Taylor Swift has teased her fans with a line from her upcoming new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Following her Grammy-winning 2022 album ‘Midnights’, Swift is set to release her 11th studio record on April 19th. Sharing a black-and-white video through Instagram Stories, the pop star showed lyrics being punched into a typewriter as they read: “Crowd goes wild at her fingertips/ Half moonshine, Full eclipse”. Swift included a pre-order link for the album.
The album will be comprised of 17 songs, with a bonus track called ‘The Manuscript’ and collaborations with Post Malone (“Fortnight”) and Florence + The Machine (“Florida!!!”). Swift shared earlier that the making of the new record “was really a lifeline for [her]”, given her emotional struggles. Following the release of the album, Swift will resume her career-spanning ‘Eras Tour’ in Europe in May and will play eight shows at Wembley Stadium in London this summer, with Paramore providing support. By last week, Ticketmaster confirmed that it would drop its “lead booker” rule for Swift’s 2024 UK dates, furthering easing anxieties among fans.
