Glastonbury 2024: how to get tickets in the re-sale and everything you need to know

Glastonbury Festival is one of the biggest and most sought-after music events in the world, and tickets are notoriously difficult to obtain. Although the coach and ticket packages for this year’s Glastonbury Festival sold out in just 25 minutes, and the general ticket sale in under an hour, festival-goers keep their hopes high, as a re-sale is expected soon. In the meantime, festival fans can plan for the line-up, which was recently announced.

Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA are among the headliners who will perform on the iconic Pyramid Stage. Country music star Shania Twain will also perform in the coveted legends slot on the Sunday. Standard tickets for Glastonbury 2024 cost £355 plus a £5 booking fee, and coach ticket prices vary depending on the departure point but generally range between £40 and £150. A £75 deposit is required per attendee followed by a full balance payment in the first week of April.

If you’ve failed to get Glastonbury 2024 tickets in the first two sales, you’ll still have a chance. A re-sale will happen, where the original purchasers haven’t paid their balance in full by the cut-off date in early April. Glasto has announced that ticket and coach travel packages will become available at 6 P.M. BST next Thursday (April 18), with general admission tickets going live at 9 A.M. BST the following Sunday (April 21). Cancelled accommodation options will then go on sale at 11 A.M. BST on April 21.

Prior registration is necessary to buy tickets in the re-sale, and a registration number is required for each ticket booking. If you’re not registered, then you need to register by April 12 to allow for the registration to be processed and resubmitted if needed. Ticket and coach travel packages are limited to two per transaction, and general admission tickets are limited to four.

Glasto festival-goers are advised to keep their hopes up and stay tuned for any information regarding the ticket re-sale. The co-organiser of Glastonbury, Emily Eavis, recently announced that the festival had seen its “highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever”, giving rise to new excitement among the festival enthusiasts
