Following the announcement of Glastonbury 2024, it has been reported that the “highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever” has occurred. Emily Eavis, the festival’s organizer, has revealed that the number of paid full tickets is at an unprecedented high. However, tickets available are “very limited” given the high volume of ticket balances already paid for. This means hopeful attendees might struggle to secure tickets in the re-sale, details of which will be released shortly.
Glastonbury has offered annual re-sales for tickets when original purchasers have not paid their quota in full by the cut-off date. Eavis expressed her gratitude towards the record payment rate, calling it “incredible” and thanked everyone involved.
This year’s edition of the festival is due to start on 26 June and end on 30 June 2024, at Worthy Farm in Somerset. The line-up for the event was also shared recently, revealing acts like Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA slated to headline the Pyramid Stage.
Although the exact date of the re-sale is not specified yet, hopeful attendees should expect high competition given the swift sell-out rate of the Glasto 2023 re-sale, which took just six minutes. With coach and ticket packages for 2024 selling out in 25 minutes last November, a general ticket sale sell-out of under an hour showcases the popularity of the festival.
