Architects will release new single ‘Curse’ with Jordan Fish tomorrow

Brighton-based metal band Architects is set to release a new single titled “Curse”, which features former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish on April 9. The band teased the upcoming track by sharing a photo on their social media featuring the Architects logo along with the title of the song. Fish’s Instagram handle was tagged in the picture, suggesting his involvement in the album’s creation. Fish himself posted the same picture on his Instagram story as well as a photo of himself in the studio with Architects frontman Sam Carter.

As the first music released by Fish since his departure from Bring Me The Horizon in December of last year, he is “focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production” in his career going forward. The teased teaser of the song posted by the band on their social media accounts indicates a possible return to their heavier musical roots.

The new single by Architects will be the first music released by the band since they released “Seeing Red” in December 2020. Additionally, the upcoming track will become available after the band weathered social media controversy regarding guitarist Adam Christianson’s retweeting of a transphobic and homophobic post on Twitter. While the guitarist apologized, many fans remain unconvinced that the post was unintentional.

During a live show in Paris, Sam Carter addressed the incident and affirmed that “no one on this stage judges anybody for their gender, their race, and whoever they are in love with.” Architects’ fans will likely be eager to hear the new single and appreciate the band’s firm stance on inclusivity and equality
