St Helens: Three-year-old girl rescued after falling into lake

Merseyside Police reported that a three-year-old girl was rescued after falling into a lake in Thatto Heath, St Helens. The child had left a nearby house when she fell into the water at around 14:20 BST. After police officers were alerted to the issue, they rescued the little girl from the lake and performed CPR before transporting her to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital via air ambulance.

Currently, the child is receiving treatment at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital along with her family. Merseyside Police could not provide any updates regarding the condition of the child at this stage.

Merseyside Police reminded the public to ensure that children are carefully watched over in the vicinity of open water, including lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water.
