Marina announces new book of poems, ‘Eat The World’

Singer-songwriter Marina Diamandis has recently announced that she has written a poetry book called “Eat The World.” The book, which will be published by Penguin Random House, is set to be released on October 29. Diamandis also took to social media to share some samples of her poems. One of the poems goes: “You are a good/question asker/effervescent/like my father/but i protect/myself now as/if i were my/own daughter.”

In her Instagram post, Diamandis expressed her excitement for the release of her book, saying that writing it has been a “magical, playfully dark process that freed me in ways I couldn’t have anticipated.” She also admitted that she was nervous about putting the contents of her life and brain out there but equally excited to share her work with the world.

Diamandis revealed that she had been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome last year. She shared on Instagram that she had been struggling with symptoms such as deep fatigue, rashes, insomnia, and feeling “poisoned” for a while. However, despite these obstacles, Diamandis has been able to produce five albums, including the latest one, “Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land,” which was released earlier this year.

In an interview with NME, Diamandis revealed that her latest album was influenced by political factors. She said that the LP saw her take less interest in gaining chart success compared to her previous releases. Instead, the album was about exploring topics that interested her at the time. “It’s more like, ‘What am I interested in at the time? And what do I want to explore in my songs?”, she shared
