Jennifer Lopez has reportedly rebranded her upcoming tour in light of lower-than-expected ticket sales and the cancellation of certain shows on the original bill. Initially billed as the “This Is Me… Now” tour to coincide with the artist’s new album, the tour has been quietly rebranded to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits.” This move comes in an effort to avoid fans thinking that Lopez would mainly be performing new tracks from the struggling album.
According to reports from Variety and The A.V. Club, the album garnered little attention upon its release, selling just 14,000 copies in its first week and only reaching Number 38 on the Billboard 200. The album was a component of a larger $20 million dollar multi-media project that included two films and the tour.
Lopez has yet to comment publicly on the changes, and the tour website has yet to be updated, with some venues sticking to the original tour name. The tour was set to take place across over 30 cities in North America, featuring shows in major North American cities including Miami, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
The cancellation of multiple shows on the original tour bill was causing the initial buzz for the tour to wane. Reports initially speculated that the cancellations were due to logistic issues, with no official statement issued by Lopez or her management at the time. Despite the tour’s setbacks, fans can still find tickets on Ticketmaster for the remaining shows
