Dirty Three announce first album in 12 years with ‘Love Changes Everything’ and Australian tour

Australian instrumental trio Dirty Three have announced the release of their new album ‘Love Changes Everything’ and have shared the project’s lead single, ‘Love Changes Everything I’. The group comprises Warren Ellis on viola, Mick Turner on guitar, and Jim White on drums. The new LP will be available on June 28 via Bella Union and can be pre-ordered on their official site. The album consists of six tracks, each named with the album’s title and a roman numeral.

Dirty Three’s last album, ‘Towards the Low Sun’, was released in 2012. The group is known for its impressive instrumental work. Warren Ellis is also known for his work as a member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

The band has also shared an announcement for an Australian tour this coming June. A statement on their site reads, “We are so excited to announce the first public Dirty Three gigs in more than five years are happening this June in our home country of Australia!” The group will perform shows starting in Melbourne on June 14 and ending on June 29 in Byron Bay.

Ellis and Nick Cave released the live album ‘Australian Carnage’ last year, which was a live performance of their 2021 collaborative lockdown album ‘Carnage’. The album received a five-star review from NME. Cave and Ellis are known for their collaborations on film scores, such as the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic ‘Back to Black’.

On the other hand, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are looking forward to the release of their new album ‘Wild God’ on August 30. The band will tour the album in the UK and Europe beginning in September, starting in Glasgow and concluding in Krakow, Poland. Find any remaining tickets here
