At a concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco on March 31st, Bruce Springsteen signed a young fan’s absentee note to cut class the following day. The boy held up a sign that read “Skipping school, sign my note?” during the show. Springsteen signed the note, which was captured on video by another fan. It is currently unknown if the school accepted the signed note.

Later in the concert, Springsteen kicked off the show with a performance of “Light Of Day,” marking the first time he had performed the song with the E Street band since 2016. The current tour restarted on March 28th after Springsteen had to postpone several shows in 2023 due to health concerns.

In other news, Springsteen announced a UK and Ireland tour set to take place later this year. He has also announced details of a career-spanning compilation album titled “Best Of Bruce Springsteen” set for release on April 19th. The Bear star Jeremy Allen White is reportedly being considered to portray the singer in an upcoming film about the making of his 1982 album “Nebraska”. Additionally, Springsteen is set to become the first international songwriter to be a Fellow of The Ivors Academy at a ceremony on May 23rd.

The Boss’ return to the stage in Phoenix, Arizona was filled with tracks from his early albums, like “Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.” as well as songs from his most recent album “Only the Strong Survive”.
