Exmoor: Arrest after two illegal raves in national park

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug and assaulting an emergency worker after two illegal raves took place over the weekend. The events were attended by hundreds of people near Luxborough, at Dunkery Beacon and Kennisham Wood in Exmoor.

Pictures taken at the scene show cars parked on both sides of the B3224, with rubbish and boxes of nitrous dioxide canisters scattered across the verges. Sam, a farmer in the Luxborough area, said that people were defecating in his fields and outside his house.
