Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has posted on his Instagram account, following the raid of his homes in Miami and LA on March 25. Reports suggest that the search was connected to a series of sex trafficking investigations. It is unclear whether Combs was a specific target of the raid or if his properties were searched in relation to a larger investigation. The rapper’s lawyer labelled the raids a “witch hunt” that was a “gross use of military-level force.” It is worth noting that Combs is currently facing several allegations, including accusations of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
Recently, record producer Rodney Jones filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs sexually harassed and assaulted him, as well as organising parties attended by underage girls and sex workers. The rapper has denied all allegations against him, insisting that they are “pure fiction.” According to the lawsuit, Combs would draw “VIPs like British Royal Prince Harry” to his infamous parties, which were supposedly attended by international figures from politics, athletics, music, and entertainment industries.
Combs has faced several accusations in the past as well. In November 2023, his former partner Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura accused him of rape and physical abuse. Combs denied all allegations, and Ventura dropped the suit soon after as the two parties reached a mutual settlement. The aftermath of Ventura’s allegations saw two new accusers come forward, with one claiming that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her, and the other alleging that Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns raping the plaintiff and her friend in 1990 or 1991.
