The £1.2 million raised by Glastonbury Festival through a prize draw will be used to help people affected by conflict. Fans had entered a prize draw via Crowdfunder for the chance to win one of 20 pairs of tickets. The money raised from the draw will be split between Oxfam, the British Red Cross and War Child.
Oxfam thanked everyone who entered the prize draw, as well as Glastonbury for match funding. Last year, the festival donated £3.7 million to good causes. The festival raises money each year for Oxfam, Greenpeace and WaterAid, as well as other organisations and campaigns. Glastonbury 2024 is scheduled to take place between June 26-30.
The line-up for the 2024 edition of the festival was announced earlier this month. Headliners on the Pyramid Stage will be Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, while Shania Twain will perform the legends slot on the Sunday. Other acts to be included in the line-up are LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Olivia Dean, Paloma Faith and Keane—all on the Pyramid Stage. Idles, Disclosure and The National are scheduled to top the Other Stage, while the likes of The Streets, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, The Last Dinner Party, Jungle, Justice, Bloc Party, Fontaines D.C., Yard Act, Arlo Parks and Gossip will also perform
