No Doubt have reunited for a forthcoming show at the popular Coachella festival in California. Fans were given a sneak peek into the set during a recent rehearsal performed by the band, which went on hiatus in 2015. Frontwoman Gwen Stefani shared the video on her Instagram page, starting with herself dancing before walking around and filming the other members playing their instruments.
Another clip, shared on X/Twitter, shows the band members greeting each other at rehearsals, with Stefani saying: “Look at us! We’re doing it! I didn’t know that many memory floods would come in strolling through those gates. Very weird. There’s lots of memories”. The reunion prompted rumours of a full tour, but a source close to Stefani denied the idea, saying it would interfere with the release of her own music.
No Doubt’s last album, ‘Push and Shove’, was released in 2012, while Stefani dropped ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like’ in 2016 to critical acclaim. In an interview, Rossdale admitted that his divorce from Stefani was his “simplest shame”, the biggest concern being that he didn’t want to let his children down.
Speaking about the reunion, Stefani said: “It just happened so fast, and that’s my favourite kind of thing to happen. And I think really just watching the internet blow up [with] how excited the fans are? It’s inspiring us”. No Doubt’s performance is set to take place at Coachella this month
