During her recent appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, actress Kristen Stewart expressed that she will most likely never do a Marvel movie because they are a nightmare. Although Stewart is not opposed to starring in big movies, she dislikes the moviemaking system. She clarified that the system would have to change for her to be in a Marvel film, saying, “You would have to put so much money and so much trust into one person … and it doesn’t happen. And so therefore what ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you can’t feel personal at all about it.”
Furthermore, Stewart explained that the Marvel experience is not personal at all, which turns out to be an algorithmic, weird one where the audience loses their personal connection with the movie. Although she may consider a Marvel movie in the future, it would take filmmaker Greta Gerwig to make it possible.
Stewart recently starred in A24 indie film Love Lies Bleeding, which NME gave a four-star rating. Stewart commented on her dissatisfaction with most sex scenes in films stating actors do have this default expectation of making out and having sex. She finds it unrealistic and wishes the audience could see something more real.
In other news, Stewart shared how Donald Trump inspired her to come out. Despite this, Stewart remains focused on her craft and staying genuine – something she finds to be difficult in the moviemaking industry. So it appears at least for now, a Marvel movie is out of the question for this talented actress
