Singer Halsey has shared a glimpse into her studio time with musician Alex G through her social media platforms. In the clip, Alex G is seen sitting at a production desk while Halsey films him and says “Engineer Alex”. While Halsey’s 2021 album, ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’ is her most recent work, the singer has been teasing a new era with a mysterious website that hints at her forthcoming fifth album. The website, ForMyLastTrick.com, contains a number of Easter eggs that fans have connected with the artist.
In March 2024, a fan shared the snippet of the upcoming song for Halsey’s fifth album with Alex G on Twitter. Fans are eagerly awaiting a new album from the singer, especially as her health has been a concern. Halsey recently revealed that she has had a battle with endometriosis, although she did not disclose further information on the procedures she has undergone. However, the singer has been sharing updates on her well-being with fans, showing her wearing pink and white pyjamas with a pair of absorbency briefs peeking out over her waistband. She wrote a light-hearted caption, “Back in diapers, but at least they have little bows”.
Alex G’s most recent album, ‘God Save The Animals’, was released in 2022, and in a five-star review, NME called it “a fleeting yet thrilling glimpse at the most tender part of an artist who is hard to pin down but impossible to take your eyes off.”. Meanwhile, Alex G also announced in January 2024 that he had signed a new record deal with RCA, after concluding his relationship with Domino Records. The singer is set to tour the US this summer, including a series of shows with Foo Fighters.

In a previous interview with NME in support of ‘God Save The Animals’, Alex G, who has earned himself a “mysterious” reputation, said he “doesn’t feel like he’s that mysterious.” He added, “I guess it’s a romanticised, ‘cool’ thing to be mysterious, so I’m down for that… It’s a cool reputation to have, but I don’t give enough of a f*** to be actively mysterious.
