This weekend, Sister Midnight will be hosting a fundraising party at Peckham’s Carpet Shop to raise money for Sister Midnight FM, a new community-run radio station. Last summer, the South London collective launched the radio station which aims to uplift local talent and encourage involvement in musical community spaces. To celebrate the launch and raise money for necessary costs such as studio equipment, the not-for-profit has announced the first event in a string of South London-based parties.

The first event will take place this Friday from 11 PM until 4 AM with a line-up that includes jazz and R&B specialist DJ Kojay, alongside Sister Midnight residents Rohan Rakhit, Ri Mistry, LIMI, and Soph. The not-for-profit hopes to raise funds that will help purchase studio equipment which will ultimately increase the radio station’s quality. Sister Midnight FM is determined to make a difference by uplifting local talent and encouraging involvement in musical community spaces.

Sister Midnight FM has been a significant force in bringing people and music together, and with the upcoming fundraising party, it is one step closer to ensuring they achieve their goals.

Sister Midnight FM aims to bring the community together, provide a platform for local talent and bridge the gap between the audience and artists. The not-for-profit organisation has been supported by many artists and industry leaders, and the fundraising party is evidence of the continued support it receives from the community. With its focus on community engagement and willingness to give back, Sister Midnight FM is set to make a profound impact on the music scene in South London
