Charli XCX has announced a series of live shows for her upcoming album ‘Brat’, including a string of DJ shows which she’s named ‘PARTYGIRL’. She is preparing to release her sixth studio album in the summer and has now released a list of dates for shows across the world. Her ‘Brat’ live shows will be taking place in New York, Chicago, and LA. Meanwhile, her ‘PARTYGIRL’ DJ shows are scheduled for London, Mexico City, and São Paulo. Charli will also be playing a ‘Brat’ show at Barcelona’s Primavera Festival.
The popstar recently released ‘Von Dutch’, the first teaser for ‘Brat’, as a remix with TikTok star Addison Rae and longtime collaborator A.G. Cook. Speaking at the BRITs, Charli teased fans about the new album, calling it “kind of bitchy and gossipy and hardcore and very club feeling. It’s definitely one for the girls who like to party and sweat and rave.” She went on to add, “I feel good about the music. Every artist says this about their new record but I really do feel like this is my best music [yet]. I’m super excited.”
Charli also spoke about SOPHIE, the visionary producer who died tragically aged 34 in Athens in January 2021. She reveals that SOPHIE believed in her in ways that she didn’t believe in herself, and that she feels ashamed that she did not experience more of what SOPHIE had to offer while she was still alive.
Charli XCX will be touring her new album this summer, with live shows in Spain, the US and DJ shows in Brazil, Mexico, and the UK. Fans can get more information and buy tickets on the Ticketmaster website
