Nottingham band Divorce has released their newest single, ‘Gears’, following the announcement of their biggest UK headline shows. The track is Divorce’s first single of 2024, starting off as a textured, introspective indie slow-burner and transitioning into a frayed, manic rocker. Frontman Felix Mackenzie-Barrow describes the song’s frustration, stating that the song was written when he moved to London and was working very long hours while trying to keep up with the band’s performance commitments.
Divorce is set to perform at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on October 23, with tickets available for purchase. The band will also perform at their hometown’s Bodega on September 25 and 26. Currently on a UK tour supporting Everything Everything until April 6th, Divorce has showcased their new single, reaffirming their musical talents to fans in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Bexhill, Cambridge, Nottingham, London, and Bristol.
Divorce will also make several headline festival appearances, including at Bearded Theory, This Must Be The Place, Brighten The Corners, and Manchester Psych Fest throughout the summer. Fans can immerse themselves in the band’s captivating energy beyond their new track’s release.
Divorce’s music is admired for its perceptive compositions, raw vocals, and electrifying energy. Audiences now have a new opportunity to experience their unique sound in person via their upcoming shows and festival appearances, where they can expect an unforgettable musical journey
