HEALTH frontman Jake Duzsik has responded to negative comments on the group’s “What’s In My Bag?” series episode, which was posted earlier this week. During the video, the band talked about some of their purchases at the famed independent record store in Hollywood. Duzsik took aim at various personal complaints left on the video in a lighthearted response clip.
Duzsik read aloud a message that said, “This was only posted a few hours ago, but I’m wondering is this band still together, and why have they broken up?” He responded by saying, “It was very early in the morning, I think it’s not as bad as people think,” justifying the critique.
Another comment mentioned that “the little guy seems like a prick,” while another states that “these are the poster boys for pretentious douchebags.” Duzsik addressed the supposed tension between the three band members in the video, which certain messages seemed to pick up on but confirmed to fans that no stress is present.
Duzsik concluded by referring to a quote from former President Chester A. Arthur: “You can’t make everybody happy, but everybody reading into all this stuff, all I can say is this: I’m reminded that ‘I may be President of the United States, but my private life is my own damn business.'”
In February, the group covered Deftones’ “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)” as part of Spotify Singles. The song was released alongside their latest album, “Rat Wars.” HEALTH premiered “HATEFUL,” the lead single from the album, through Ultrakill, a New Blood Interactive first-person shooter (FPS) game. After the album’s release, the band unveiled “Rat Wars Survivors,” a Vampire Survivors-esque game where players combat rats instead of blood-suckers
