Gwyneth Paltrow confirms Bill Clinton fell asleep and “snored” during White House screening of ‘Emma’

Former US President Bill Clinton reportedly fell asleep during a White House screening of Gwyneth Paltrow’s film adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. Confirming the long-standing rumor, Paltrow discussed the incident during a recent appearance on the popular YouTube series “Hot Ones.” Hosted by Sean Evans, the show requires celebrities to eat a variety of increasingly spicy chicken wings while answering questions.

When questioned about the Clinton incident, Paltrow confirmed that it was true, adding “he was snoring right in front of me.” Despite Clinton’s disinterest, the film was a commercial success and received widespread critical acclaim. Joking about the situation, Paltrow said, “I was like, ‘Wow, I guess this is going to be a real hit movie.’ But it was! So f**k you, Bill Clinton!”

During her appearance on “Hot Ones,” Paltrow also expressed her thoughts on superhero movies. While Paltrow starred as Pepper Potts in a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, she believes that there are limitations to the number of successful superhero movies that can be made. According to Paltrow, the industry’s push into creating more and more superhero movies results in a lack of quality or specificity in the films. As such, Paltrow agreed with director Cord Jefferson’s recent Oscar speech where he stated that Hollywood should try making 20 $10 million movies instead of one $200 million movie.

One of the most recognizable actresses in the world, Gwyneth Paltrow has come a long way since starting her acting career in the early 1990s. She has won numerous awards throughout her career, including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, among others. Paltrow is also the founder of the successful lifestyle brand, Goop. Despite her success, Paltrow remains humble and has become a prominent voice on various social issues, including the #MeToo movement in Hollywood
