Pulp add more shows to first North America tour in over a decade

North American fans of Britpop legends Pulp can rejoice at the announcement of additional live dates for their 2024 tour. Fans will be excited to learn that the new shows will be the band’s first shows in the US in over a decade. Originally announcing a few North American dates set to start in September, Pulp has now added more shows in Los Angeles, New York City, and Toronto. Tickets will go on general sale Friday, March 22 at 10am local time. Links have been provided for those interested in purchasing tickets.

The new dates have generated interest among fans, and the band has taken note. In a post on Instagram, Pulp’s frontman, Jarvis Cocker, enthused: “Wow! The noise you made was deafening! Thank you. At the risk of repeating ourselves: we are adding extra shows in Brooklyn, Toronto & LA (on my birthday).” Support across the tour comes from Escape-ism and follows Pulp’s recently announced European tour, which includes Øya Festival in Oslo, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Flow Festival in Helsinki, and Sweden’s Way Out West.

An interview with NME revealed more good news for fans: Pulp plans to play more shows beyond 2024. Cocker himself expressed his desire for greener touring practices, and so has been making some connections to achieve these goals. As for new music, Pulp debuted a new track called ‘Background Noise’ at a show in Mexico last December. Drummer Nick Banks also recently hinted to NME that more news could be on the way from Pulp this year.

Those interested in seeing Pulp should act quickly as tickets are expected to sell out fast. The band’s North American tour dates are as follows: September 8 – Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom, Chicago; September 10 – HISTORY, Toronto; September 11 – HISTORY, Toronto; September 13 – Kings Theatre, Brooklyn, NY; September 14 – Kings Theatre, Brooklyn, NY; September 16 – Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco; September 18 – Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles; September 19 – Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles
