UK-born and Bristol-based producer Iglooghost has announced his first full-length album in three years, titled ‘Tidal Memory Exo’, which marks his debut release on LuckyMe. The album is set to feature the artist’s own vocals and is slated for release on May 10th. This announcement comes right after his most recent album release, ‘Lei Line Eon’, which was put out via his own Gloo label.
Iglooghost has stated that he wanted ‘Tidal Memory Exo’ to sound like an “aquatic album, but in a fossilised, sewage-ridden, decaying type of way,” and cited the rhythms of the post-punk era as inspiration for this release. The album’s first single, ‘Coral Mimic’, is already available on LuckyMe and is said to refer to a “local sub-genre people are calling Post-Coil”.
The album has 13 tracks in total and features unusual, post-apocalyptic narratives that create a dystopian world around the record. Iglooghost made ‘Coral Mimic’ on a “horrible corrosive drum sequencer that can only be touched with gloves on,” as the machine leaked excess diesel every four minutes which had to be siphoned out in time.
Pre-orders for “Tidal Memory Exo” are available on LuckyMe’s website, and the album’s tracklist includes “Blue Hum,” “New Species,” “Alloy Flea,” “Coral Mimic,” “Spawn01 ft Cyst,” “flux•Cocoon,” “Pulse Angel,” “Echo Lace,” “Nemat0de,” “Chlorine•FM,” “Germ Chrism,” “Dew Signal,” and “Geo Sprite Exo
