Nandi Bushell, the young drum prodigy, amazed crowds at the O2 Arena when she performed in front of 20,000 people recently. Bushell was part of the Young Voices youth choir tour that was attended by a total of 600,000 visitors across the UK. She performed a rock medley, which was backed by the choir and house band. The medley included classics from notable artistes such as The Who, Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Nirvana, among others.
The pro-shot performance was uploaded on Bushell’s YouTube channel, where she added the caption, ‘The Greatest Rock Medley Ever!’ The medley began with The Who’s ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, progressed to The Killers’ ‘Somebody Told Me’, and ended with a drum solo. Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’, Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’, and Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, were some of the other songs performed during the medley. The rock medley is ten minutes long, and you can watch it on Bushell’s YouTube channel.
Bushell became famous because of her online drum battles with Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl. She has played the drums since she was five years old, and now thirteen, she continues to upload videos of her playing various covers, including songs by Metallica, Nirvana, and Queen. She has also made several original tracks such as ‘Gods and Unicorns’, ‘Into the Abyss’, and ‘The Shadows’. Recently, Bushell was seen on Drumeo channel on YouTube. She played along with Twisted Sister’s ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ without even hearing it before.
She has made a name for herself and inspires others at a young age, playing with such contagious energy, enthusiasm and raw talent. Bushell’s passion and love for music are evident in her performances, and she never fails to deliver impressive performances
