Mac J., a self-proclaimed mega fan of sci-fi epic “Dune”, has reportedly seen the 2021 film over 200 times and has memorized its script in the process. Mac J. runs the @batsdune account on X (formerly Twitter) and has been using the platform to note every time he watches the movie. He claims to have seen “Dune: Part Two” 18 times already, most of them in IMAX. Despite his frequent visits to the cinema, Mac J. admits he is “running out of money.” The fan’s obsession with the film began in 2018 when director Denis Villeneuve announced he was adapting the Frank Herbert sci-fi epic for the big screen.

Mac J. used to “keep a tally sheet” to keep track of his rewatches but “stopped at 100 and that was in 2022.” The mega fan would put the movie on “in the background” while studying or “just sit down and watch” the film whenever he felt like it, which led to him having the script memorized. His constant interaction with the film also allowed him to appreciate how much better the experience is while watching it in IMAX rather than on a regular screen.

Mac J. is now reportedly pursuing an English degree, though his education hasn’t hindered his experiences watching “Dune: Part Two.” He claims that he has only been able to enjoy the film properly while watching it using IMAX screens and has emphasized this concept to others that want to experience the sequel.

“Dune: Part Two” received a four-star review from Matthew Turner and has been well received by fans. The sci-fi action movie has been praised for being immersive, thanks to its stunning visuals, imaginative sets, and impactful sound design. Mac J.’s exploits provide a unique insight into the impact film can have on our lives and also shows how it’s possible to convert one’s love for a movie into a hobby
