The Somerset House Summer Series is set to return to London’s iconic central venue this July with 11 headline acts. Last year saw Interpol, Young Fathers and Beabadoobee take to the stage; this year’s line-up is just as impressive, with Patti Smith Quartet headlining on 21 July. Other acts include Pip Millet, Corinne Bailey Rae, Smino, indie rockers The Amazons and The Big Moon, genre-defying Hak Baker and DBN Gogo.
Corinne Bailey Rae will be presenting her mind-bending album “Black Rainbows” on 14 July, and the American Express Cardmember presale is already underway, with general sale tickets available soon. Bailey Rae spoke to NME last year about her hit single “Put Your Records On” being reworked into a TikTok hit, saying “this song is for everyone… it’s great when people cover your songs because it has a benefit to you as well.”
Meanwhile, NME reviewed The Amazons’ newest album in 2022, calling their songs “stadium-ready anthems,” and questioning what they would sound like if they leaned into their more diverse sounds and influences.
