There are still opportunities to attend Glastonbury Festival this year even if you didn’t manage to secure tickets during the general sale. The event, which takes place in Somerset between 26-30 June, features two female headliners for the first time in its history – Dua Lipa and SZA – with Coldplay also topping the bill. General tickets sold out within an hour of going on sale in November, but there are still a few ways to gain entry.

One option is to wait for the festival’s resale, which will happen in April. The number of tickets available will depend on how many people do not pay the full amount after putting down a deposit in November. Interested parties will need to register for the resale in order to be in with a chance of attending.

Another option is to volunteer with one of Glastonbury’s partner charities. Although registration for WaterAid and Oxfam has now closed, it’s still possible to work with Greenpeace to gain entry to the festival. Volunteers are expected to work a minimum of five eight-hour shifts between 25 June and 1 July, and in return, they’ll receive a ticket to the festival and three meals a day.

Finally, there is a ticket prize-draw open until 12:00 GMT on 28 March. The draw, which has been organised to raise money for charities supporting people affected by conflict, offers twenty tickets to the festival. The money raised will go to the British Red Cross, Oxfam, and War Child.

Despite ticket prices for Glastonbury 2024 rising to £355 (plus a £5 booking fee), the event received 2.5 million applications for just 210,000 places. Shania Twain will play the legend slot on Sunday afternoon, with acts including Burna Boy, Little Simz, and Avril Lavigne also performing. More acts are still to be announced, and extensive BBC coverage of the festival will be available across TV, radio, and online channels
