Mount Kimbie has shared their latest single ‘Empty And Silent’ featuring King Krule. This six-minute track is from the group’s upcoming LP The Sunset Violent. King Krule, whose real name is Archy Marshall, sings over a bright, picturesque beat featuring a pulsing bass line, clean guitar riff and crisp drumming. The track’s visualizer is directed by Gregory Prestön and includes clips of the sky, highways, flowers, and tiles.

Mount Kimbie and King Krule have previously worked together on the group’s tracks ‘You Took Your Time’ and ‘Meter, Pale, Tone’ from their 2013 LP ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’ and ‘Blue Train Lines’ from their 2017 album ‘Love What Survives’ and the single ‘Turtle Neck Man’. Krule also appears on the track ‘Boxing’ which was previously released for only 24 hours but has now landed a spot on the collection.

‘The Sunset Violent’ picks up where their last LP left off. The album was written in California’s Yucca Valley, a scant Western town with a history of alleged UFO sightings before being finished in London. The collection includes 9 tracks:’The Trail’, ‘Dumb Guitar’, ‘Shipwreck’, ‘Boxing’, ‘Got Me’, ‘A Figure In The Surf’, ‘Fishbrain’, ‘Yukka Tree’, ‘Empty And Silent’.

The group is set for a worldwide tour starting in Copenhagen, Denmark on April 27 and ending in New York’s Webster Hall on May 29. Mount Kimbie is also set to play a string of festivals including Movement Festival in Detroit and Primavera in Spain.

The Sunset Violent will be released on April 5 via Warp
