Leah Smith, a popular TikTok creator, has passed away at the age of 22. Smith, who had more than 520,000 followers on the social media platform, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2019, and had been documenting her experience since.
Smith’s partner confirmed the news of her passing in a video that was posted on her account. In the video, her partner expressed gratitude to the supporters and well-wishers who had followed her journey and encouraged them to continue speaking about her. He also revealed that Smith had read all of the comments that were left for her and that they had helped her.
Despite Smith’s health struggles, she continued to share updates on her progress with her followers. However, at the beginning of the month, she stopped posting videos herself, and her friends and family took over to provide updates on her condition.
Smith’s diagnosis happened five years ago after she reported back pain. At the time, she said that she felt like her whole world had crashed right in front of her and that she felt so alone. Last month, Smith provided a significant update on her treatment, stating that the doctors had said there was no point in trying to give her more antibiotics and fluids because it just wasn’t working anymore, and that all the pain medication wasn’t helping.
Smith’s friend has announced that her page will be used to remember her at her good times, and that they will never stop talking about her. Her partner has encouraged others to continue speaking about Leah, and how amazing she was and how much she helped everyone, to ensure that she is never forgotten
