On April 11, a tribute concert called Keep The Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffet will take place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The concert was announced via Jimmy Buffet’s official social media accounts. The concert will feature a lineup led by music heavyweights Paul McCartney and Eagles. Other performers include Jon Bon Jovi, Zac Brown, Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, and more.
The list of performers also includes musicians such as Scotty Emerick, Jack Johnson, Caroline Jones, Mac McAnally, Jake Owen, Pitbull, Jake Shimabukuro, and The Coral Reefer Band. There will also be special guests, but their names have not been announced yet. Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, March 15.
Jimmy Buffet passed away in 2023. Paul McCartney paid tribute to Buffet on social media after Buffet’s passing. McCartney announced his involvement with Buffet’s music, saying that he played on one of Buffet’s latest songs called My Gummy Just Kicked In. McCartney also said that Buffet played him some of his new songs, and that he loved one of those songs called Bubbles Up.
Tributes to Buffet poured in from across the entertainment world, including from figures like Elton John, The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, and LL Cool J. President Joe Biden also paid his respects to Buffet, calling him an “American music icon who inspired generations to step back and find the joy in life and in one another” in an official White House statement
