Brussels’ Horst Arts & Music Festival confirms full 2024 line-up

Over 50 new electronic acts have been added to the line-up for this year’s Horst Arts & Music Festival in Brussels. Among those announced are Lefto Early Bird from Belgium, Shy One and Nene H from the UK, and Anz, who plays contemporary UK club music. The festival attendees can expect local acts such as Bibi Seck & Jenny Cara, Lola Haro, Kr!z, and Sixsixsixties & Timmerman to be playing closing or peak slots.

Headliners Skream & Benga will resume their tour after a ten-year hiatus, with Horst 2024 being their only Belgian show. Last year’s edition of the festival welcomed the likes of Bitter Babe, BLUMITSU, Calibre, Donato Dozzy, and Evian Christ.

Music lead Simon Nowak revealed that this year’s festival aims to reintroduce a “warmer” house sound to “counter today’s ever-increasing tempos”, although “ample” space will remain for more experimental styles and “fast-paced frenzies”. The Resident Advisor will curate the Vesshcell stage, and Kiosk Radio will return to the ‘Moon Ra’ stage, joined by The Lot Radio for its Horst debut.

As with previous years, electronic music acts will perform alongside a variety of art, including exhibitions, workshops, and architectural design spaces. This year’s main stage, designed by Piovenefabi, will remain after the festival functioning as a sports area for local organizations and park visitors. The three-day festival is scheduled to take place May 9-11 at its current home in Asiat Park, a former military terrain reimagined for the Arts & Music Festival. Horst moved to Asiat Park in 2019 after out-growing its original home, Horst Castel in Holsbeek
