At the recent 96th Academy Awards in Hollywood, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito presented the award for Best Visual Effects. The winners of this category were the creators of Japanese movie Godzilla Minus One, with visual effects supervised by Takashi Yamazaki.

During the presentation, Schwarzenegger and DeVito joked about both playing villains in different Batman movies. DeVito recalled his character, The Penguin, being thrown out of a window by Michael Keaton’s Batman in Batman Returns. Keaton was in the audience and DeVito jokingly insulted him, calling him a “beak-breaker.” Schwarzenegger added, “You have a lot of nerve to show your face around here.”

The exchange was all in good fun and Keaton played along, staring down the presenters, smirking, and making a beckoning gesture. The audience in the Dolby Theatre applauded and laughed along.

DeVito has previously expressed interest in reuniting with Schwarzenegger for another film after their work on Twins. Schwarzenegger has also mentioned working on another movie with DeVito, praising his talent and noting how fun it is to work with him.

John Cena also made waves at the Oscars with a dramatic presentation for Best Costume Design, appearing onstage completely naked with only an envelope for modesty. The award went to Poor Things
