K-pop girl group, BABYMONSTER, has given fans a glimpse into their forthcoming first mini-album, ‘BABYMONS7ER,’ with a “visual trailer.” The video, released at midnight KST on YouTube and social media channels, features elaborate sets with its original six members. Notably, Ahyeon, who was previously absent from the group’s debut due to health concerns, made her first public appearance as a BABYMONSTER member at the end of the trailer.
‘BABYMONS7ER,’ set for release on April 1, marks the band’s second music release this year, following ‘Stuck In The Middle,’ a standalone single released earlier this month. The forthcoming mini-album is likely to be inspired by Ahyeon’s return to the group, making them a septet once more. Also, both ‘Batter Up,’ the group’s debut single, and ‘Stuck In The Middle’ will be re-recorded to include all seven of the group’s vocals for the release of the mini-album.
K-pop girl group, BABYMONSTER, first debuted with the single, ‘Batter Up,’ in November 2023. The accompanying music video garnered the most views for a K-pop debut in 24 hours, surpassing the previous record held by aespa. The group’s future plans include releasing a full-length album sometime in Autumn, according to YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk.
BABYMONSTER’s ‘BABYMONS7ER’ mini-album is highly anticipated by fans, even more so after the release of the “visual trailer.” The wait may have been long, but if the record-breaking success of their debut single is anything to go by, the mini-album is bound to be worth the wait. Mark your calendars for April 1
