Willy Wonka Experience documentary to air on Channel 5

Following last month’s disastrous Willy Wonka Experience event that went viral on social media, a new documentary is set to air on Channel 5 next week. Although the broadcaster has not yet confirmed a synopsis for the show, it is expected to chronicle the outrage caused by the event and its eventual cancellation just hours after the opening.

The Willy Wonka Experience was advertised as “a celebration of sweetness and imagination” inspired by the hit movie ‘Wonka’ and the Roald Dahl book behind it. Despite the criticism surrounding the Willy Wonka Experience, it continues to make headlines. Sydney Sweeney recently poked fun at the event during a skit on her recent Saturday Night Live appearance. The documentary is set to air on 16 March on Channel 5 and will shed more light on the scandal that rocked Britain
