US country singer-songwriter Morgan Wallen has been announced as the finalheadliner for the 2024 BST Hyde Park in London. Wallen will perform on Thursday, July 4, with a host of yet-to-be-confirmed special guest support acts. Wallen, who released his third and most recent studio album One Thing At A Time last March, added in a statement: “To play where legendary artists like Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones have played is a huge honour for me and my band, and we can’t wait to be back.”
Wallen’s performance follows BST Hyde Park sets by Stevie Nicks, Kings Of Leon, Kylie Minogue, Andrea Bocelli, Shania Twain, Stray Kids and Robbie Williams throughout June and July. Tickets for Wallen’s show at BST Hyde Park will go on general sale on March 13, while fans can sign up for AMEX and BST presales here.
At the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, Wallen won 11 awards in total, including Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Country Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist and Top Country Touring Artist. The Tennessee artist’s previous set at the 2024 edition of BST Hyde Park marks his return to London. “Last fall was my first time in the UK and man, I loved it. I saw so much while I was there, and the people were incredible,” Wallen said.
BST Hyde Park is an event that sees top-class performers come together for two weekends in London’s most famous park. The concert series has been running since 2013 and has seen an impressive line-up of legendary artists such as Tom Petty and Bon Jovi. The organizer, AEG Presents, has promised some unforgettable performances from Wallen and other artists in the 2024 edition.
Wallen’s fanbase continues to grow, and his career took off in 2018 with his debut album If I Know Me, which spawned hits like “Whiskey Glasses” and “Chasin’ You”. In 2019, he was named a Taste of Country RISER and won the Best New Country Artist like Nashville Lifestyle Awards. Wallen’s newest album, Dangerous: The Double Album, released on January 8, 2021, broke multiple chart records and featured collaborations with Chris Stapleton, Diplo, and Kane Brown, among others
