Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of Catherine, Princess of Wales, has entered the Celebrity Big Brother house despite previously stating he would “never do” the show. The ITV series, which follows a six-year hiatus, has also reunited former X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. During the first episode, Sharon and Louis were tasked with watching their fellow contestants and rating them from a secret ‘lair’. They nominated Gary Goldsmith, David Potts and Zeze Millz, with Louis stating they chose them because they “didn’t like them”.
Other contestants on the show include Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kuzmin. Fern Britton, who previously hosted ITV’s daytime show, This Morning, also entered the Big Brother house, stating she has no “game plan” and is just looking to have fun.
Bradley Riches, an actor known for his role in the Netflix series Heartstopper, Colson Smith from Coronation Street, Lauren Simon from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, Levi Roots of Dragon’s Den fame, US actress Marisha Wallace, and social media celebrity Zeze Millz are also among this year’s contestants.
Sharon Osbourne has been brought in as Big Brother’s “celebrity lodger”. According to The Sun, her fee was too high to have her on the show for the whole time.
